Focused on the family-related gameplay, Growing Together introduces new gameplay mechanics such as Family Dynamics, Milestones, Social Compatibility, Self-Discovery, Burnouts, Midlife Crisis, Workplace Rivals, Random Layoffs, and Child Confidence. Those mechanics will enhance your overall gameplay and make the game much more interesting. Here are my settings for the calendar in the Sims 4. First, I make sure each season is 28 days long in the game options. Then, I use the mods. Schedule Festivals Yourself by Zerbu removes the festivals, and adds them as holiday traditions.  Surprise Holidays Be Gone! by simmytime removes the surprise holidays. Make Hidden Holiday Traditions Selectable by EP1CxEMAN08 adds them back, but as holiday traditions. More Holiday Icons by LittleMsSam adds more holiday icons. I wanted to create the Sims 4 character generator that would give the player directions, while still leaving room for interpretation and creativity - since putting some thought into creating a sim should make you get attached to them more easily.   MC Command Center by deaderpool is a gigantic mod that comes with many optional modules. It's definitely an extremely useful must-have mod, though its sheer number of options can feel very overwhelming. The best way to get a hang of the mod is to download all of its modules and test their capabilities in a new, separate save file. Personally, I don't use all modules.
